Eastham is the first town to welcome you to the Cape Cod National Seashore.

Summer population:  10,000

Nature walks and beautiful beaches such as First Encounter welcome you during the day, while casual and comfortable places like the First Encounter Coffee House keep you happy at night. 

Also in Eastham is Nauset Light, spared from being swept into the sea by a grass-roots organization which moved it to a safer location.

In September, the town holds a Windmill Festival, appropriately at the Windmill Green, on Route 6, across from the main National Seashore entrance.
